A line of late term expectant mothers is sitting in the obstetrician’s office. The babies inside are talking to each other, and maybe a mother is sitting there with a newborn next to them, and the newborn says to them, “just hold on, once you cross the border and get out of the birth canal, they generally let you stay and live.”

That is a great metaphor. Maybe Ben Garrison could draw a cartoon with two babies discussing that at a border crossing with the realization that once they crossover, they find freedom. the irony would flow!
