Things like this do make me wonder about links between videogames and ultraviolent actions.
I am sure the kid has probably done flight simulators, which gave him that idea.

Hey! Piloting is an entitlement. And those training/testing requirements are having a disparate impact on who can pilot a plane. So they’re unconstitutional.

he told investigators he thought piloting the plane would involve little more than pushing buttons and pulling levers. He's right. Hell, FLYING the plane doesn't even involve that half the time. However, taking OFF in one involves a LOT more. And LANDING is even trickier ... if you want to walk away.
On the other hand, there's Zemarcuis ... which says all you need to know.
