Apparently, federal bureaucrats can be laid off after thirty days of furlough. They are on day 22.

Trump has been advised of this

Not going to happen. Federal judges would be all over this.

I love President Trump. I absolutely love that guy.

I still can’t believe we could be so lucky as to have a man like Donald J. Trump as POTUS, but here we are!

We and the world scored big time this time with TRUMP and now it SUX to be a socialist!

I am still not tired of all this HUGE winning for US and For The World!

Well, it wouldn’t be the first time DJT declared,
“You’re FIRED.”
WTP can only pray this is true; one sweep of his arm
and all pieces are OFF the board.

Article in Daily Caller linked in ZeroHedge

...The Daily Caller is taking the rare step of publishing this anonymous op-ed at the request of the author, a senior official in the Trump administration whose identity is known to us and whose career would be jeopardized by its disclosure. We believe publishing this essay anonymously is the only way to deliver an important perspective to our readers.

“Due to the lack of funding, many federal agencies are now operating more effectively from the top down on a fraction of their workforce, with only select essential personnel serving national security tasks. ...
President Trump can end this abuse. Senior officials can reprioritize during an extended shutdown, focus on valuable results and weed out the saboteurs. We do not want most employees to return, because we are working better without them.”

“If this was the plan all along, it would explain why President Trump goaded Chuck and Nancy in his televised meeting with them last year, boasting that he would claim credit for the shutdown. How could they resist a prolonged shutdown when he made it so easy to blame him?”

Interesting article. Could it be that President Trump saw an extended shutdown as the only way to clean up a portion of our bloated federal government?

Regardless, we need a wall / barrier on our southern border... now.

"Apparently, federal bureaucrats can be laid off after thirty days of furlough."

That's great news! Much of the funding for Democrats has come from socialist radicals with excessive incomes.

I don't think I could possibly list all the good things that could come out of this.

Maybe all the Senior Executive Service people Obama appointed could be laid off.
Hundreds of thousands of anti-Trump Federal workers could be laid off permanently, and all those union dues being shoveled to Democrats would come to a screeching halt.
Billions of dollars to liberal colleges, leftist organizations, sanctuary cities and other pet liberal causes will stop! Gosh, how would we ever cope if the Department of Education wasn't there to push its leftist agendas on our children?
The five richest counties in the U.S. are around Washington D.C. What if hundreds of thousands of homes are foreclosed, hundreds of thousands of vehicles are repossessed? Maybe those richest counties will empty out of Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia, and the lazy non productive employees can go elsewhere. What are these people going to put on their resumes? "I spent my time running errands, avoiding work, and obstructing President Trump."

The fact the Mick Mulvaney has been pulled into the Oval Office as Chief of Staff could be an indicator.

Mulvaney spent the first half of Trump’s first term in the Office of Management and Budget, studying how to trim Government.

Maybe he was brought up to Headquarters to manage the execution.

That would fit a pattern, where GEN Kelley was brought up from Homeland Security, when establishing the wall program was a main effort (that program is all set up now - just add money).

Before the midterms, I saw Hillary Clinton inform a Democrat audience that President Trump was planning a big purge after the election.

It is called a R.I.F. (Reduction in Force).

Not until I read this article did I know it could effect civilian employees.

The government R.I.F.’d many Active Duty officers after WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam. Mostly Company grade officers. I was one at the end of Viet Nam.

If this could be accomplished within the Federal Government as a whole it certainly would be a welcomed change.

That explains how we lost battleships at Pearl Harbor. 80 % of government employees only do what they want to do?
