In the ghetto snitches get stitches. In big government whistle blowers get two self inflicted gunshot wounds in the back of the head.
When I worked for the fedgov, and granted it was a few years ago now but not ancient history, my experience was entirely different. Those that I have kept in touch with dont have any particular animus towards Trump, and all of them want the wall. It probably varies significantly agency to agency.
Except, possibly, for those receiving checks from the Armed Forces and “regular” Social Security checks (meaning the kind you get at 65) just about *everyone* who gets *any* kind of government check votes Rat.
I’ve worked for local governmental agencies, and they’ve hated conservatives, too - generally. I suppose it depends on the locality, but that’s been my experience at four places.
The DoD is highly conservative. We are laughing at the Libs pf other agencies who are furloughed. You should see how they are bellyaching like spoiled children! They are an entitlement class on welfare.
Start with a motivated, skilled, honest, conservative whistle blower lawyer, if you can find one.
Will it be safe to speak out about what you have seen after you retire? Or would some way be found to take away your pension or otherwise retaliate? I’m a government retiree myself, from a small agency in a small state. There wasn’t so much a hostility to non-liberals, but more a reflexive assumption that I, like everyone else, was a good-thinking liberal. I’m ashamed to say that I mostly left such assumptions unchallenged to save myself grief.
Their was a time they were public servants, now they are union members.
JFKs real legacy
Keep records. Make at least several back up copies for each. Hide each back up copies in different, multiple locations.
I know there are other federal employees on this page. I hope each of them understands that each day each of them faces the man or the mouse test and that they need to be men of courage just like Trump. Tell the truth. Expose the rot. Be a man.
I’m surprised that federal “public servants” have so little sympathy and/or empathy for their local and state bretheren. While Fedzilla can print money to pay for what it promises to its employees, states and locals can’t. And Trump’s economy is the only thing keeping some of those state pension plants afloat. But do federal employees care about that...?
I work at a University and the intimidation to keep quiet is overwhelming.
You would not believe the stuff I hear and see.
And let’s not leave out state, county and municipal workers either. Face it, government jobs, are at their core, about the employees and not those by whom they are employed. Their attitude is always “what’s in it for me and how much more can I get and how much less do I have to do to get it.”
Shining Example:
I went to the San Francisco office of the DMV on my lunch hour to renew my driver’s license. I took the written test then got into a line that was probably at least 50 people long. It was not yet 1:00. At 4:30 a big fat woman stood up from her desk and announced to her staff “we have to get the line moving, it’s 4:30.” They then staffed up all their available windows and cleared the place out in a half an hour. Just in time for them to all go home.
Almost ALL.. that’s a pretty bold statement.
Having worked DoD for 28 years I could say “Almost ALL” but that would be incorrect and I’d have to say “a lot” hated Obama, liberals, progressives, socialist and marxists.
That’s roughly 730,000 civilian force.
Don’t forget the Military are also Federal Employees so that’s another 1.8M.
So when you state Almost ALL I’d semi agree if you laid out just about every other part of Federal Government employees and Civil Service.
Past tense. Did you serve in the military? Work for the Border Patrol or ICE? As a Secret Service agent, federal prison guard or U.S. Marshal? Work air traffic control? What exactly makes you qualified to speak for all of those people in every agency and every part of the government?
Not in my agency, thank goodness. I think the difference is that we have the law enforcement mentality going in.
We have our libs, for sure, but they aren’t that rabid.
Well, fortunately it is only 1 percent of the entire population.
Federal bub mint employees?
Worthless lot contributing little to anything.
Sitting around watching the clock counting the days till retirement,
That’s it. That is what they do.
BS 42 years we listen to rush at work
The word is already out. Everybody knows federal employees are deballed at hire so nothing will change.
