My wife is from the Philippines. She grew these in her back yard in soCal the only person I know who did. She took them to work and the others gulped them up. Don’t know where you are but this might be a nice addition.
Calamondin:
Had one in a huge pot that bore 2x year. Lived to be over fifty years old and probably would have lived longer if we could have repotted it, but we grew too old to move it in and out every summer/winter. It was already quite large and very heavy.
Produced pounds of fruit, even potted. However, there is a bitter undertaste to the little oranges. It was ok for marinades and I liked them straight off the tree, but nothing special. The wood itself is also quite fragrant when pruned. When the dropped leaves got caught up in the vacuum, the citrus smell was pronounced.
It just literally dried up and died over the course of about 2-3 weeks. Very hardy, though. Down in the Keys, they’re considered a trash tree.
