DANG!!!!! What’s the world coming to? Hubby happened to walk out the front and caught some workers from down the street loading their truck with the logs from our tree trimming. Thieves!!!!! Right there in broad daylight. He told them he’d have given it to them if they’d asked but you don’t steal.
He called the neighbor so they’re out loading it up into the neighbor’s trailer before it disappears again.
We never had problems until recently. In October, some weirdo meth head had jumped the fence and was in the yard and refused to leave. Just the day before, we’d always kept the front door wide open, but blocked with a cattle panel so the old blind dog could go out that way rather than going down the back stairs. Since that day, the door is shut and locked and I’m keeping a little friend with me.
Good grief, we’re going to have to start nailing everything down.
May have to have the company of that little friend if I get back to gardening this spring. Geez. Times have certainly changed. This is ridiculous.

Yes, well, I expect it to get worse. The world at large is set up for famine and food shortages. We have millions of illegal immigrants and thousands more coming in daily. These people do not necessarily abide by the ten commandments, and they don’t stay close to the border.
Hellywood pumps out all sorts of society destroying stuff. We have always lived in a small town in the bible belt, but there are enclaves of thieves etc. A few years back, a police officer had someone set fire to his garage, but for the most part, the crooks don’t come around here yet.
JMHO, but we need to be preparing for colder weather, less days of the growing season, and more relying on self and what can be provided by our own family-like a farmer/Urban farmer. Government changed Globull warming to climate change-but ignore the real problems.
So it’s up to us to do what we can in our families and communities, because the Government is useless and Crooked.
