It was sunny in the Piedmont yesterday. I was able to work on my dad’s front property removing fallen branches and stacking them up. Come Monday I’ll put everything in the truck and take it to the top of the hill - the city should pick up everything. The whole area is covered with ivy and the trees are almost overcome with vines. The next thing I’ll do is take the chainsaw and shave the trees that are affected then when the weather is fair for a stretch I’ll apply brush killer all around the area of the trees. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. In the summer time I’m always worried about encountering snakes (last year we found a young rattlesnake on the property). In the winter time I can see the shape of everything so much better.
Love those sunny days in the winter!! We have had much cloudier weather than usual here. I was reading about the Grand Solar Minimum some more this weekend.
It seems that the magnetic shield gets weaker during minimums, which results in more cosmic radiation reaching through and also more clouds. We have been using grow lights on really cloudy days.
