Because *no one*, of Bezos’ wealth, uses his own money for such an “investment”.
That’s what banks and funds are for.

That is simply not true.
A person as wealthy as Bezos has great difficulty finding worthwhile places to park their money. They do not need to pay other people to use their money.
I am not Bezos' financial confidant. But I do not believe he would use market financing to purchase WAPO.
Of course investment bankers still get their hands greased during the transaction. Fairness opinions, advising both buyer & seller etc. That's the rules of their rigged game.
