Trump was clearly personally leading on many of the events listed here: Saudi Arabia, the troop withdrawal from Syria, the drawd-down of troops in Afghanistan (still too early to say what happens, Bush and Obama also both ordered drawdowns at various points), big progress in North Korea, and ending the crappy Iran deal. Leaving the Paris accords (2017) was fantastic, something no other Republican would ever have done.
Notice how the derp compares the Donald's recent "draw down" orders to Bush and Obama's, and adds this caveat, "still too early to say what happens".
One could say that about anything, considering that its still to early to say what happens on any issue.. Very wise.
The big takeaway here is that Trump's "draw downs" are as significant and real and no different than both Bush and Obama's while at the same time questionable, as its "still too early to see what happens".
The pattern continues. Praise and damn at the same time.
This is an example of the well known "camoflage troll" technique and can be further explained in Bag Tzu's "The Art of Trolling", chapter six.
A lot of us old Freepers remember that even back then Clinton was taking suitcases of cash from the Chinese to sell out the USA. (Anyone remember the book "Year of the Rat"? Great book!).
This technique is known as the "appeal to seniority" and is intended to lend credibility while also confirming that the subject is "one of us" but with MORE authority based on seniority. It is a subtle but sometimes effective style.
Trump's administration has led in many of the other areas, in a clear break with previous practice: the NXVIM sex prosecution, the focus Human trafficking are rightfully called out. I'd also add Jeff Sessions focus on MS-13 and other criminal illegal aliens. His DOJ worked with other agencies to lead in the arrest of tons of them.
In the derp's attempt to piggyback on an article that goes against EVERYTHING he has said in the past, he appears to switch teams AGGAIN in order to fool his audience. He praises former AG Jeff Sessions. This derp has a long history of going against Sessions and everything he did or didn't do. Yet now he praises him. This is another attempt to rebrand himself as "one of us" and is really very clever. But we've seen this movie before.
I'd argue that the clean up of the FBI/DOJ hasn't gone far enough, but it is still great that a lot of corrupto-crats are at least no longer in their jobs. A bunch of people were fired or resigned under duress, but so far no one from the swamp has seen prosecution. What happened to the McCabe case? It was referred for prosecution by both the House and the DOJ Office of Professional Standards after the OIG report called out his misbehavior. Seems like we should have seen it by now.
This paragraph is highly deceptive. Again he appears to praise THE PLAN and some of its aspects, but his key message is found in the first and last (bolded) statements.
The plan's attempts to clean out the FBI and DOJ have failed and (in this case) the McCabe investigation and prosecution is fake. This is combined with what this expert on the plan and Q tells us what "seems" to be the way it should be going.
This one was very subtle and fed to the audience very carefully. The rest of the derp's points are intended to pretend to agree with the list of Trump's accomplishments while cheapening them.
And the common theme that "nothing's happening" is woven throughout the entirety of this innocent sounding screed.
This particular derp is a very interesting case study, but once you know the code, is easy to understand.
