Fire Log (trade name) makes a flu cleaner product that burns at a very high temp for a short while.
They recommend using it at the end of the fireplace season.
Easy price for a little insurance.

We’ve gotten products like that before and I think it’s time to get another like product, but we need to do it more often because we burn crap wood.
