Groundhog day is funnier than Blazing Saddles?
One of my favorite funny flix is probably not
on the list. Am I the only one who remembers
“The Wrong Box”?
IMO, the only reason Tootsie (lame) and Some Like It Hot (not lame) are on the list today is due to the gender bending angle. Many on the list were just childish potty humor, not genuine comedy. Some I haven’t seen and will check out.
Bringing Up Baby (Howard Hawks, 1938)
Idiocracy didn’t make the top 100?!
Just for sheer laughs, Dumb and Dumber, Analyze This and School of Rock cracked me up. Wouldn't pay a dime to see any of those lefties who starred in them today, but at the time, very funny.
#1 is unequivocally Young Frankenstein . Blazing Saddles and The Producers ( the original from 68) are somewhere in the top 30.
I like most of your list. But some, meh. Aniie Hall? Really? Woody Allen was funnier before he got sophisticated .
I hate to give Meathead Reiner credit but I must. I do love Spinal Tap.
Groundhog Day is funny. Somewhere in the top 100. For BFM though, The original Ghostbusters is funnier and Caddy Shack even funnier so I got that going for me which is nice.
Some Like it Hot was funny in 1959 when I first saw it. It didnt age well. I would put it somewhere in the top 60 or so.
Life Of Brian was great. But what of MP and the Holy Grail?
How does The Big Lebowski possibly rate higher than Blazing Saddles??
Comedy=funny=lots of laughs
C+F=L sqaured.
