Ebola?
It’s all scare tactics by the vaccine manufacturers to get you get a practically worthless inoculation.
1979?
I have had my very last flu shot.
Last year’s just put my knees out for a couple of days starting 6 hours after the shot.
This year’s triggered a bursitis attack in the receiving arm, has caused everything to taste like crap, my gums are very sore and intermittently bleeding, and I’ve gained 20+ pounds!
I am lethargic, feeling totally out-of-sorts, and have difficulty concentrating.
My doc had a full blood workup done, and the only thing he saw was slightly elevated liver and pancreatic enzymes. He told me to stop drinking, which made me laugh, since I drink about 4 glasses of beer a week as opposed to the growler per day I drank up until about 2 years ago.
I got the shot on the 22nd of October and still can’t do much of anything. I get home from work and my days off are spent trying to recover. Never again.
Isn’t that what they used to say about tuberculosis?
That is the understatement of the day. And the heartbreaking part of it is that it would kill a ton of young people.
And it exists in a bunch of graves north of the arctic circle.
“Tuberculosis” is synonymous with ‘diversity’.
The U.S. government helped the disease spread by their iron fisted control of the media under President Wilson. Truly one of the most disgusting and power-hungry want-to-be dictators.
A worthwhile documentary which surprisingly exposes much of Wilson's outrageous dictatorial behavior is the PBS series "The Great War", which is available to watch online.
Thanks Red Badger. The truth is, 100s of 1000s die of the flu, every year, but since 1918 the population of the Earth has risen six- or sevenfold, and in the US enough people get the vaccination that relatively few (between 5 and 20 percent, per the NIH, with 200K hospitalized and 36K dying, mostly over 65 or very young children) contract flu. Those who do are likely to get it diagnosed, and there are OTC meds, clean water, and warm beds at home, doctors, hospitals, basically the best health care on Earth, so the US death toll is pretty small (by percentage; US is about 5% of the Earth's population, has somewhere between 1 and 2 percent of influenza deaths).
Gina Kolata, author of "Flu" -- her keyword, newest to oldest:
“Isnt that what they used to say about tuberculosis?”
I dont think so. No one said there wasn’t tuberculosis in third world countries. Smallpox is different. The last naturally occurring case was diagnosed in October 1977 and the World Health Organization certified the global eradication of the disease in 1980.
Thanks Red Badger.

My paternal grandmother died from the Spanish Flu as well. She was only 20.
Didn’t Rupert Holmes write the Gina Kolata song?
But you don’t have the flu! See! 8-p

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
I question the wisdom of vaccination against the cdc’s latest flu-of-the-season. But, then again, since I’m allergic to every pollen ever invented, I’m not really sure any vaccines will help.
Wrong. The flu of 1915 was worldwide, not military connected. It was a virus that caused quick deaths to extremely health young people because their immune system overreacted and they basically suffocated. Death within 24 hours was common. It seemed the healthier you were the more likely you would die because the immune response was stronger.
steve86 : "It is the strong immune system that killed many of the otherwise healthy victims of the Spanish flu.
Google cytokine storm. "
Or use Duckduckgo.com
cytokine storm, or the bodies own reaction did the most damage.
Notice the number of fatalities among people in their 20's and 30's.
The number of total fatalities affected the social construct throughout the world.
