A caller today to the Rush Limbaugh show asked a very good question, and it applies to illegal immigration and could apply to many other areas:

"It is said that America should not be the world's police force. We should also ask the question, 'Why should we be the world's foster parent?'"

Yes - we don’t want our country to be the world’s foster parent, doctor, correction officer, probation officer, bail bondsman, schoolmarm, landlord or food bank, either!
