Interesting that GHWB did not have the riderless horse etc. and was not interred at Arlington.
Reagan, Ford, Nixon, Bush 1...all buried at their presidential libraries. It’s a thing...and it keeps out the riff-raff and guys who want to water their graves!

OK. Poorly written on my part. What I was really thinking about was the riderless horse, and the pomp that went along with Lincoln and JFK, and wondering if that was typical for those who had military experience, and how many of the former presidents had that- is it just the ones that got assassinated?
I think it had more to do with First Ladies than the Presidents they buried. Jacki was pretty media savvy. For that time, she played into the media myth. I've heard that she's the one who coined the "Camelot" moniker. No comments on our current first lady, (don't want to hex them) but she would totally rise to the occasion...as she has since she began probably one of her less-favorite jobs. Love that lady!
