And I keep getting back to this: why wasnt there a procession down PA Blvd with the horse and caisson and the riderless horse? I think we know why.

Me too. That’s why I posted the question up thread. According to the research we turned up, a State Funeral for a President has the caisson and riderless horse.
I wondered if that meant he wasn’t getting a State Funeral, but something a little less than that.
Of course, he might have requested that the procession be handled differently. Still I wonder too.

Reagan had one. I know Eisenhower did, I was there for that but don’t remember it because I was so young. I’m not sure about LBJ. JFK had one. Nixon did not I believe. Ford I’m unsure of.
