Once Paul gets up, I’ll try to get him to build thumbnails that can be visible there. I work from pages of thumbnails so that I can instantly choose images that fit into little micro stories, or that have variety as you go from one to the next.
When I work by myself, I always build a basic plan, though often abbreviated. When I work with someone else, I try to be more fulsome so that the process is understandable and to give people room to participate in decision making.
I’ve been interviewed for a number of books and I can remember sending off an MIT Professor with a shopping bag filled with scraps of paper that were my plans for then twenty years.
And, of course, once you actually start the video production, everything might just go out the window and some story starts writing itself and you just chase in its wake.
Notice that the database includes memes, cartoons, Trump quotes that might be usable, and template images that could be used to build new memes or to “fix” memes that are clever but too small to be usable. Ten to twenty percent of the images will usually need to be modified before they go into the video.
