Years ago, a friend of my wife’s told her they came home early and heard the parrot asking the dog if it wanted to go outside, and the dog dutifully scratching at the door.
My dad used to have one that mimicked the phone PERFECTLY.
In the middle of the night we would hear:
“ring ring ring”
“click - click”
“Hello?”
