I was under the instruction of Dominican nuns for most of my K-12 years.
6th grade...Sr. Rita Ann in her old school battle garb (full converage)...rosary hanging from her waist nearly touching the floor. The crucifix on the rosary appeared to be fabricated from 1/2” square steel bar stock.
And she was sneaky as a ninja. Quite a few times I was on the receiving end of her favorite “enhanced classroom order maintenance” tactic. She would swing that crucifix into your shin, and somehow you never saw it coming.
That really smarts!
