>>Give me Pompeo, maybe, but Pence may be too smugly holy for the earthly tramping around, like this courageous POTUS of ours is willing to do.

Amen! (Pompeo, Flynn, Sheriff Clarke, ALL strong leaders, love them all (so far!)

I am BIG on Pompeo! As you said, for the time being “so far”. The R’s are going to run a ship load against Trump, I hear, even in 2020. (Kinda hoped that Trump put him in and get him groomed up to avoid Pence, in the end.)
If there isn’t enough of a BOOM coming, expect a big push for an R with a bosom. Jodi Ernst, top of my head guess. The R’s think they need clackers! Of course, Niki Haley is a loose cannon who wants more. Said she will stay involved in POLICY. We’ll see what that means. War Hawk mouth on her. She couldn’t spell “diplomacy” with a wide broom.
Trump has a way with these cray crays around the world, a calming side, delivers them hope and a future, as his carrot. They already know about his big stick and don’t seem to want to run his Red Lines. God keep us.
Now that is a guy I would get behind.
I think we need to give Pence some props. He is doing EXACTLY what a VP should be doing. Supporting POTUS, The Agenda and ^most importantly^ voting on the right side of history to break ties in the Senate.
When all is said and done, we might see that VPOTUS will have been the most active Senate tie-breaker in history.
