Tesla owners in Germany got a surprise early test drive of the Model 3, shown in this PR piece from Tesla. Part of the appeal of the Model 3, besides its price relative to EU-made EVs, is its more compact size, which works better in Europe with its medieval legacy streets and small parking lots.
BTW Macron, smaller size and lighter weight was one reason our much-maligned Sherman tank was ideal for use in France, with its unimproved roads, narrow lanes between hedgerows, and jiggy jaggy village avenues. Y'know, in WWII, when we saved your alleged ancestors' asses for the second time in the 20th century?
Model 3 Surprise
The yellow vests want to know if it burns as easily as a gas car.
Does th3 Paris model come with auto-ignite?
Just one question: are we using tax money to subsidize these electric money pits even when they’re exported?
Why should I care? I don’t live in Europe and I don’t plan to ever purchase an EV. I”ll stockpile spare engines and transmissions for my Hemi Charger if they should ever stop producing them.
I haven’t the foggiest idea what electricity costs in Europe but gasoline is incredibly expensive...twice to three times what it costs here.It seems to me that electric cars might have a future in Europe.
My daughter has a model 3 and loves it. So do I. She says she’ll never drive anything else.
