So that call sign is what is given, and operators do not, per KitJ, have “Ham Handles.” But is it true, not ever having “hammed” before, that they do not use names - like you sometimes hear CB guys use? OR.... maybe “Molly” could be a CB handle which she was perhaps also prepared to use? Just a thought. I hadn’t heard anything about her wrt CB, but isn’t it a lot less regulated and with a lot less range?
Yes, it is true because ALL Amateur radio license holders use their real names as shown on their license unless they choose to go by their nickname like Jim for James or Bob for Robert. etc.
"C.B." attitudes, language and "handles"(fake names) have no place in the Amateur ranks.

Also a thought to ponder. They could always use their code words and phrases in the open using voice and/or digital comms (think text msgs.) over the air on a seldom used frequency and no one would be the wiser even if overheard.
