The issue with the reveal ratio is if too much too fast, what would the collateral damage be? Collapse governments, drive people crazy, topple religious worldviews, plunge the world into a deep depression, or worse, a world war where life would cease to exist, or at best, crawl out of a hole into a Mad Max type world. I remember seeing her a several times before the debates, and thinking how tired and old she looked. When I watched the debates, I was astonished to the point of wondering if that was really her - incredible how different she looked, but I thought it must be professional Theatrical makeup artists at work.
