My recollection was that the Hinkley family either had dinner with the Bushes the night before or were supposed to but canceled.

At any rate, the connection between the 2 families is startling considering historical events, yet I had never heard of it until fairly recently. It was very well hushed up by the media. Now why do you suppose that is?
