Seems to me if the cause was natural like a volcano--the frequency graphs would not be ONE frequency. But what do I know.

Triggered by a volcano, [THEY] say? Ok, I’ll leave it for now but I’ve never known water to harmonically attenuate p-waves...or s-waves.
