So the right thing to do would be to announce to the public that they found two more planets, not demote Pluto. Whatever the stargazers say, we still love her! And we’ll always consider her a planet.

I never understood why Goofy could talk and Pluto couldn’t.

Or, at least, be honest and announce the two more planets and then say, “oh, and by the way... we really need to define planets differently so Pluto, Haumeamea, etc., are recognized as different from the larger planets.”

Personally, I think if it’s large enough that its gravity crushes it into a spherical shape, and it rotates directly around a star, it should be a planet.

If it’s that large and rotates around another planet, it’s a moon.

If it’s NOT that large, it’s a dwarf planet or a sattelite.

Because another pet peeve is that they call every asteroid that gets caught into orbiting a planet a “moon.”
