I almost always avoid breaking news, when posting. Sometimes I have posted to Front Page News.
Every time I log on to FR, I check out the side bar. Usually Breaking News already broke days before, and Front Page is not much better. Have to go to other sources to see what is really current breaking news.
It’s very fluid as to what the mods think is breaking/front page/whatever..
The safest place to post for me is “extended news”, and I’m still not sure what the difference is - and bloggers/chat/opinion...it’s a mystery to me.
Back in the day, after just going “Galt”, with more time to participate, I’ve had as many as two articles in the Breaking News sidebar, a day, that stuck. FR was the place to go to for the latest & greatest news, and still is one of only a handful of sites I check daily; Zerohedge prolly my favorite now. Rarely do I visit Drudge anymore. I took a sabbatical in ‘18. Now that the weather isn’t so good, I have a bit more time to contribute with da content. :)
