Actually your statement is very factual. Once “real science” shows we are going into a cooling period one should go long on grain futures before economic collapse happens. When economic collapse happens grain futures will just be paper of no value. One must take the profits quickly and convert them to assets of value that are immune to economics.

Plastic hoops and clear plastic so you can cool weather garden. Compost your leaves, grass and non greasy vegetable matter for nice rich soil to put under those mini greenhouses.
Get a plastic kiddy pool with a small water pump to move water around as the moddify the ambient temperature in a greenhouse type environment.
To warm it through the night, grab some 10x10x10 size(approximate) bolders. Pain them flat black and put them inside the green houses to hold the edges down and keep cold from entering. They will absorb heat by day, and give it off at night. Do the same with plastic gallon milk jugs. Paint flat black like the rocks. Water retains heat longer than earth.
I’ve done this in the past and it works well. Secure your roof so it doesn’t collapse under the weight of snow.
You gotta eat, and this is one of many ways to accomplish that in bad weather.
In warmer weather, lift the edges to let excess heat out so as not to cook your plants.
