Q drop #2501 (Excerpted)
....
Will the release occur prior to scheduled testimony?
List advantages.
Will the release occur post scheduled testimony?
List advantages.
If those testifying ‘know’ select CLAS docs will become public [self-incrimination] how might that alter/change their testimony?
.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Any takers? I think dropping documents before testimony is less useful because those testifying then limit their testimony and work to mitigate the damage done by the content (they are forewarned). Prior document release may also steal attention from testimony. Just my 2 cents.
Release after testimony creates the conditions for a perjury trap. Congress can ask the Justice Department to indict for perjury. Granted, that hasn’t happened — yet. But with Whittaker in the driver’s seat...
Advantages:
BEFORE testimony release:
We might actually get the truth out of the miscreants.
AFTER testimony release:
Miscreant is locked down into fibs, and makes the take down more solid.
Agree. Also, interesting to watch how “cooperative” some testifies may be, knowing DECLAS is coming...
My take on dropping classified information would be to drop a small amount before, to get their attention, and to show that Trump means business. And to give the public a taste of what is available. But the bulk should be after testimony.
