Howdy! Just sitting down after over a week of taking care of home life and your memes give me a thread slide. The one that says “When you reach peak goverment efficiency” fits the town nearest us. Three years and millions spent on the farm to market road going thru town. We now have 2 lanes going each way with a suicide lane in the middle, curbs on the side and storm drainage on either side. Trouble is, all the drainage openings in the curbs are at higher elevations. We are prone to flash floods so when we do get rain, those curbs hold the water on the road in all the low spots with very little reaching the storm drains. *duh*
Whoever designed this road obviously never played outside of much as a kid. We all had this problem noted when the road was opened as complete during a drought. WTH?
Sigh. It’s so sad to realize how true it is.
That fits right in with the meme about the best government performing minimal functions. The best government is the least government.
