I prefer my grits with lots of butter and salt, sometimes with cheese.
Butter is natural, better than man made garbage. Luckily I have no problems with salt and well, iodine!
So it’s still healthy! :)

Me also. It seems I’m tired of playing with my food preferring to simplifying life.
Maybe as I grow older I’m returning to the era of childhood when I would segregate foods and only eat one thing at a time.
But I do recall the day the steak juices touched my heavily buttered mashed potatoes, thus sparking a new world of experimentation. :)

OK - now we are heading into serious food porn territory.... cheese grits is WONDERFUL!!!! Never thought of the German sausage with it..... that would be excellent. A family member makes cheese grits for family gatherings. That right there is reason enough to go!
