Do you think Eric Holder would have genuflected before his ethics staff, kept in the basement of the Justice Department? Lois Lerner? Brennan? Comey was his own ethics manager, and AG what’s-her-name, LL. She would more likely do a strip tease before calling down to some ethics paean.
In my mind, doing things by the book is comforting. If Q is right and Trump is taking out the deep state, there will be a power vacuum after it happens. There are many good people who have become quite corrupt in similar situations.
