Ok, but, how does INTL go about classifying information I have on say Facebook that has existed for 2 years once they include it in an OSINT?

Your Facebook in this example would be open source information, the IC uses your info and produces an example of Open Source Intelligence by analyzing, applying context and a requirement. Your Facebook data in the intel product could be classified for a classified material purpose since it is a product of the process, but your Facebook data would remain open source information. That is where the Q 'intel' originates. The same data exists elsewhere and isn't sourced from an intelligence product.
