I got a hazy theory on this.
The Senate was the target

How do you catch a FISH?
Mission forward
These people are stupid.
Q may mean that the derps were BAITED into letting us gain seats in the Senate. Whiletheir eye was on retaking the House, Trump snuck around and got us a more powerful Senate, when he knew it would be harder to keep the House.
So, the Senate was the FISH?

Hi baggie! Mostly lurking here. Got word from tech that my initial thought about our slow computer has to do with local service connection being quite poor in our area is correct. Computer is fine. But for now, it is really difficult to participate as I normally would prefer to do.
So I am basically in lurk mode, but your ideas about “FISH” triggered some questions and sent me into a short little catfish noodle hole.....(and not an owl in sight!)...and wish to add to your insight.

HOW DO YOU CATCH A FISH?
At a fundamental level, the way you catch a fish is with a cork on a fishing line. Perhaps as bait you can use a flake of something that might look yummy to a fish. However I was surprised when I looked for a connection Flake might directly have to fishing. There actually ARE some things!
The most obvious one to our purpose would be the use of cereal FLAKES as a bait.

Method 2:
Using Whats In Your Kitchen
Use cereal flakes. Simply crush them, add water and make into little balls. Then you fit them around the hook. Wheaties work well (called Wheatie balls). You can also use red soda instead of water, as it attracts the fish more.
Another connection Flake has to fishing has to do with it being a means to PROCESS fish:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fish_flake
fish flake is a platform built on poles and spread with boughs for drying cod on the foreshore of fishing villages and small coastal towns in Newfoundland and Nordic countries. Spelling variations for fish flake in Newfoundland include flek, fleyke, fleake, flaik and fleack. Its first recorded use in connection with fishing appeared in Richard Whitbourne’s book Newfoundland (1623, p. 57). In Norway, a flake is known as a hjell.
SO here we have a puzzle:
SENATE is the TARGET
How do you catch a FISH?
CORK(er) and FLAKE are bait.
In the events surrounding Corker and Flake, the target, SENATE was won. In fishing, you never try to come home with the actual bait you used to catch the fish. Bait is expendable. You also sometimes count as acceptable to catching the big fish, the loss here and there of a cork(er) or two. So, corks are expendable too.
In fact, you can make the case that you MUST expend them.

Just finished watching the Trump presser, and he spoke of his actually being responsible for “retiring” Flake..... and did the nation a good service by doing so!
That is very interesting in light of what the discussion about “FISH” has brought up.
The “fish” are the corrupt Democrats and the deep state.
Trump and allies are baiting the Dems to do something, with House control now, that will expose these people for what they are.
All Trump and patriots in the Senate have to do is set the hook. And their treason will be revealed for all to see. Even the blind. Game, set and match.
TO, fixe your puter. Your voice is necessary to the mix.
I like your Corker/Flake bait ramblings. As long as we realize that (probably) Q was referring to the control of the Senate as the FISH.
Q has emphasized in several posts today and last night that the Senate was the prize. Getting rid of Flake, Corker, (and no name) were crucial to that endeavor.
p.s. Go buy a totally new computer. That's what I do when mine get whack.
