I will never knowingly take a chip just because of it’s monitoring capabilities, but as to the ‘mark of the beast’ my opinion is—not yet.
Yes, I believe that the chip will be used in the coming Tribulation (I realize that some believe this is fantasy, so you’ll just have to wait and see that I’m right), but it is not yet the dreaded ‘mark.’
There are some prerequisites to it’s being the ‘mark.’
“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb” (Revelation 14:9-10).
What is missing? The one accepting the mark must knowingly be worshipping the beast AND his image. Men are not yet in any position to worship something that is not yet on the scene.
Notice that the KJB says “in” the forehead and “in” the hand while the modern translations use “on”. The ‘in’ is important because it fits with the idea of a chip implant whereas ‘on’ could be a tattoo. I’ve yet to hear of a tattoo that can operate an ATM machine.
You don’t need a chip or tatoo, biometric’s will work just fine.
Hand=fingerprint.
Forehead = eyescan or facial scan.
Its amazing how blind most people are where this is heading. Even though we were warned long ago. In fact we were given the information long before we could really understand what it meant.
You are theologically correct. I don’t like the idea of having a chip implanted though.

I believe you are correct, PP. Thanks for the ping, MomMD!
I agree with you. We are headed in that direction.
