They were both on meth according to the article but supposedly quit months before this incident and were getting treatment but there’s no mention of how long they had been using it before they sought treatment.
I didn’t know meth is essentially “speed” and was used for ADD.
When you’re on it you’re in a state of great euphoria and performance but once off it you crash, and in desperation to get out of the comparably miserable dungeon of depression you do anything to create the high again.
Their blood chemistry is probably a mess and the stuff erodes IQ.
The guy’s friends say they didn’t even know he had a baby.
My husband and I lost our daughter’s twin at 16 weeks gestation as well. We are like you, stories like this devastate us.

Internet sources about family names claim the Koehn originated in West Prussia in the 1300’s. Northern Europe. But who knows what mixing and name-stealing occurs over time.
