No, there isn't. CBP is ordering officers from non-Mexican border ports to the Southern Border and has been for years because staffing is so thin. Officers work six days a week, 12 to 18 hour shifts. They're not staffed to handle the normal border crossing traffic.
Understood, but I wasn't just referring to that Border Patrol. I was referring to the combined forces at our country's disposal. We don't have the courage to deploy the assets we have, that could stop this.
It's really a lot more involved than it appears on the surface. Legal authority, familiarity with laws and regulation, familiarity with the ports and terrain between ports, etc.
Unless you've undergone that training, a person's usefulness is limited.
I suppose you could have MPs assist in guarding detainees, engineers building detainment facilities, but that's pretty much all I can think of and the Posse Comitatus act can foul that all up in ways to horrible to imagine.
