A wounded veteran is sounding off on a study that found some students are exhibiting symptoms associated with post-traumatic stress disorder following the 2016 election.
The study, which was released Monday by the Journal of American College Health, evaluated 769 students at Arizona State University studying psychology in January and February 2017. About 25 percent of respondents reported symptoms of PTSD because Donald Trump won the election.
What we were interested in seeing was, did the election for some people constitute a traumatic experience? And we found that it did for 25 percent of young adults, said lead author Melissa Hagan, an assistant professor of psychology at San Francisco State University.
Joey Jones, a retired Marine Corps bomb technician who lost both of his legs in a bomb blast while serving in Afghanistan, took issue with the survey's findings.

Does this mean that 75% would have had PTSD if Hillary had won?

I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber. Didn't want to do it. I felt I owed it to them.

Kalashnikov and John Browning were brilliant. Wish Kalashnikov would have been with us instead of the Russians.

SnowflAKE is too scientific a term. There really are snowflakes and they are perfect, melting as they land on earth. In the great scheme of things, they are exactly what they should be.
These kids are MORONS. Stupid beyond belief and exploited by liberals to become even more stupid and useless.
Call them what they are. The “Useful Idiot generation”.

I asked my college student daughter about this. She said the day after the election there were 4 types of people at her school: 1) Those that went to class with a smile on their face and shared their happiness (2) Those that went to class with a smile but were afraid to talk about it for fear of teacher or other student retribution (3) Those that said they were too traumatized to attend class who werent really at all but knew teachers would give them time off and extended time to complete work so they took it and (4) Those who acted sincerely traumatized. Daughter is 20 and concerned about this last group because she says it was a pretty big chunk of both students and PROFESSORS. Otherwise it would have been comical.

“When Carter won in the first election I voted in, I got up the next morning and just went to work an on with my life.”
My very first election, I was 18. I remember being young, inexperienced in life and shocked, that people could be so foolish. Like you, just got up and got on, SMH. But it was a good lesson for me - you win, you lose, and I got the exquisite pleasure of watching America get the government they voted for, everytime I went to grocery store, every time Carter told us not even to put Christmas lights up, every time we traded vehicles for “odd” and “even” days at the pump.
Then I remember his concession speech, where he said it hurt. Oh, geez. Well not as much as screwing up the economy hurt my family. He didn’t last ONE term.

My neighbor across the street spent 39 years in uniform. He was a Command Sgt. Maj. got out and went into the USAF reserves and got out last year as s SMsgt. With his Puerto Rican heritage, he was unofficially called to be a translator in the invasion and the search for Noriega in Panama. His wife passed away earlier this year to COPD.
He admitted to having some PTSD and I think he has earned it. If TSHTF I still want to be in his Battalion.

I think it would be good for those 25% to go through a real event traumatic enough to cause PTSD. Then maybe theyll realize how pathetic they are.
