Hello Freepers....!
....LOTS of threads about the mass of illegal immigrants headed our way...as of this morning the numbers are estimated at between 5,000 to 10,000 men women and children. We can assume that this number will grow.
Now, we can also assume that Mexico is not going to be of much help here...and will leave this event for the United States to 'clean up'.
So, they are coming....they will soon be at the boarder...and they will not just 'stop' voluntarily....
What CAN be done to keep this from becoming a nightmare scenario??
Please be civil...and make your thoughts known.
Please no (shoot them all)....(burn them all)...regardless of how you 'feel' try and come up with a WORKABLE solution.
Do not be intellectually lazy... like saying (.....dude...I would put the military at the boarder and just stop them....)
...ok, how? Shoot them....? Yell at them to stop?....Arrest 10,0000 people? ....and put them where? For how long?
Perhaps we can brainstorm together and offer some real solutions .....
Lets make this a thread that offers real possible answers

1. Immediately start construction of a detention facility capable of holding up to 20,000 people. Construction should include 10-foot high chain-link fencing, razor-wire topped, and full-time armed patrol.
2. Immediately transfer hundreds of Federal judges capable of holding instant hearings.
3. Funnel all arriving people into an “immigration triage” area where they are given preliminary processing, including: photograph, copy of any/all documents, complete search for contraband, DNA sample taken, and taking a legal statement/affidavit for purposes of legal processing. Any individual caught lying, or caught with contraband of any sort, will be immediately transported back to their home country’s capital city (see #5 & #6, below).
4. Assign all arrivals into bunks within tent-style housing. Those claiming family status will have a designated sub-section within. Their DNA tests will be prioritized to confirm family relationship.
5. Start the judicial-proceeding assembly line. “Do you have a bona-fide reason to be here?” “Do you wish to apply for citizenship?” There will be no catch-and-release - these people will be detained until cases are heard. Enough judicial resources will be transferred and applied to ensure 20-days does not pass. Except for provable instances of true refugee cases, all others will be loaded on jumbo-jets and flown back to the capital city of their countries of origin. If they want to apply for citizenship, they will be directed back to the US Consulate office in their home country, and they can get in line.
6. All costs for implementing the above, plus a penalty/fine of 50% will be directly deducted from any direct foreign-aid amounts usually granted to the home countries of these foreigners, on a pro-rate basis.
I believe you mean remittances, money sent from the US to individuals in other countries. I have repeatedly suggested a substantial tax or fee on it to pay for the wall. Those from places other than Mexico, Central and South America can file a form to receive a rebate. Bonus: The form helps us keep track of THEM.

Now that we have that messy issued covered, let me pose a question to you...
If you have someone coming into your home willing to rob, rape, maim, and kill if needed, you’re willing to let them come right on in to your home?
The borders are the front doors to this nation.
This nation is our home.
I don’t know where you’re from, so this nation may not be your home. I can say with certainty I wouldn’t want to bet my life on your willing to defend it if I lived in your home.
As for the easier solution... Completely close the Borders.
We did it before and peoples from other nations didn’t just whither on the vine. As a nation they survived. I think they can once again, once they know they *have* to deal with the monsters of their own making in their own countries.

There is no earthly reason we should be "aiding" them anyway. Stop ALL foreign aid to EVERYONE. Restore it on a case-by-case basis only when there is a proven benefit to the United States. Let freely given charity provide the aid.
This is why Mexico is giving them access thru their house and out the back door to ours. The Mexican govt is scared to death these darker more south American indian blooded savages will want to set up shop in the white-Mexican areas. These are Mestizo hordes that the light skinned hierarchy of Mexico sends to our borders all the time, they certainly want them gone.
Use the military and national guard. Track and plot expected crossing locations. Put up a fence that funnels the illegals to processing points. Finger prints and facial I’d, and documents scanned. Sort, process, and bus to tent city’s. Bus them out of tent city’s to military transports waiting to fly them back to home country. Rinse and repeat.

That’s the rub, isn’t it?
We are not going to be able to put up tens in the winter. There are many, many organizations that will drag it into court using the legal system to cause havoc.
We will not be able to separate the children, based upon the current legal system, so Mom and Dad get to stay with munchkins. Then the family will have to be released based upon the current legal set-up.
We will not be able to stop others if the borders are open because they will know that they’ll eventually be let go simply based upon the numbers.
War is all about numbers whether it’s supplies or manpower. If a nation can over another nation with either of those then the game is over.
The West has ‘civilized,’ itself to such a point it can no longer see itself defending it’s own peoples using the normal warfare thinking. When the rule of law is no longer applicable/followed, then the barbarians are at the gate.

And we have way too many on our side who are too terrified to defend their own country. So glad many of them were not around in our fight for independence. We’d still be under Colonial Rule.
At the main Paris international airport there is a prison, and this is where the French put people who arrive without a valid Visa, passport or money to buy a return plane ticket. Those without a passport/visa are given the choice of buying a return plane ticket or going to the airport prison.
I only bring this up because there are a lot of countries (like Hungary) who have drawn a line in the sand to stop illegal immigration. The world does not scream and yell about how cruel and heartless these countries are.
If you were smart at all you would know that there are already workable laws in place, that this isn’t anything knew.
Build a high speed rail line running from the Mexican border up to the Canadian border. Send them all up to Canada.

*****20,000??? No way. This group is STILL 1,700 miles and two months away from our border....by the time it hits, the number will be well over 50,000 and growing.
....I have legitimate concerns about this mass of people even MAKING it to the boarder....the logistics are simply not there for sustained movement....

********I think many have a false idea of what ‘foreign aid’ is really all about. The money is hardly ever to aid the ‘population’ of the aid country...but to prop up the current government.
Stop the ‘aid’ and stop our influence over that government...we will gladly accept 10 of thousands to our soil if it means retaining control of the aid country by means of ‘foreign aid’...**********

So, I thought about this for a while. And here’s what I came up with to keep them in Mexico:

bottleneck them to the port. Federales can use tanks, 18-wheelers, razor wire, whatever to force a corridor. Load them on container ships/ocean liners, barges, etc and ship them back to Yucatan. Military escort for any funny business. 1 day trip, 5,000 per ship, 10 trips. Easy Peasy.
How’s that?

Back to the numbers game. More and more resources will need to be spent and that takes away from a nation’s resources. Just like war.
Except in this war, other nations are not playing on an equal footing. Which is why we cannot even give some illegals back. Their native country will not accept them without proper identification stating where they’re from.
And back to the munchkins. They cannot be held over a set amount of days in confinement under the current legal set-up. And that means Mom and Dad get out. Then they can tap the nation’s resources via all the welfare programs.
Now as to the barbed wire fence. Excellent idea. Where do you want to put it? At the border? Or at the confinement area? And if we’re going to have a barbed wire fence by all means it needs to be lethal.
Now there might be a problem if the courts decide that we cannot used barbed wire fences around these confinement areas as the individuals behind the barbed wire fences are not criminals but rather immigrants seeking refuge.
This is a sticky wicket. A very sticky wicket.
Believe me - I get all of that. It’s clear that a key tactic is to overwhelm our system so we have no choice but to allow them in - where they’re then disappear into “society”. All courtesy of a single Federal judge who (legislating from the bench) deems that any detention greater than 20 days isn’t permitted.
The counter-tactic is then to provide ample resources to adjudicate within the 20-days - which is exactly what they expect we WON’T do. That way they never get to set foot on US soil unless they have a valid reason. If we do this, there’s also no need/reason to separate the kids from “Mom & Dad”, or whomever they really are.
In other words, meet their numbers with our numbers.
Yes sir, you are correct that I did mean remittances! As I understand it, this is a MAJOR income source for Mexico and, at the very least, throttling it would be a big 2x4 alongside the head of the Mexican Government. As for YOUR idea about using a rebate - agree 100%.
You only have to catch, detain and repatriate once. The word will get back to the home countries REAL fast.
