IIRC, there was Millions of dollars appropriated for improvements to Gitmo. Not sure what that included- where could a person find the detail for the budget appropriations to see what the plan for using the money was for?

I certainly don't see those supposed $$$$$$$$$ showing up as infrastructure expansions/improvements.

At one point, I recall discussions about a megabucks soccer field being built. The only soccer field I see in the detention area is nearly a decade old, seldom used for soccer play -- and has, by now, basically been converted into an oval exercise track.

$$$$$$$$$? Into someone's pocket? Certainly not visible on the ground...

At the time the Gitmo $$$$$$$$$ were news, I was yards deep into LSJI. Almost wish I'd taken one night's peek at Gitmo, then...
