Epigenetics are genetic firmware, not hardware. They can be switched.
Such as with Astragalus.

In the early days of his writing career, back when he was a pulp writer, Robert Heinlein wrote a short story about this.

Id be 98......................
The days of our years with them are 70 years, or being stronger, 80 years; most of them are toil and pains, because affliction comes upon us and we are buffeted.

A "Prophecy of the Popes" is attributed to St. Malachy, which is claimed to predict that there would be only 112 more popes before the Last Judgment. Benedictine Arnold de Wyon discovered and published the so-called "Doomsday Prophecy" in 1590. Most scholars consider the document a 16th-century elaborate hoax.[11] James Weiss, a professor of church history at Boston College, has stated: "It is widely thought ... given who the author was and his relationship, [that the prophecies] were published to establish the case for election of one particular cardinal."[12] Thomas Groome, chair of the Department of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry at Boston College, has a similar notion: "For myself and even as a native Irishman the 'Prophecies of St. Malachy' are a grand old fun tale that have about as much reliability as the morning horoscope".[12] Thomas J. Reese, SJ, of Georgetown University, had only this to say: "St. Malachy's prophecy is nonsense."[12]
I guess we shall see fairly soon!

Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills [i.e. Rome] will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End.[17] |
Many analyses of the prophecy note that it is open to the interpretation that additional popes would come between the "glory of the olive" and Peter the Roman.[6][18] Popular speculation by proponents of the prophecy attach this prediction to Benedict XVI's successor.[1] Since Francis' election as Pope, proponents in internet forums have been striving to link him to the prophecy. Theories include a vague connection with Francis of Assisi, whose father was named Pietro (Peter).[3] |
Pope Benedict XVI/Successor
He was succeeded by Pope Francis on 13 March 2013, and he moved into the newly renovated monastery Mater Ecclesiae for his retirement on 2 May 2013. In his retirement, Benedict XVI has made occasional public appearances alongside Pope Francis.
