I missed it, but I’ve heard him speak before and also noted that he comes off like an Obama wannabe. He seems to mimic Obama’s speaking style.

I caught only the last 15 minutes on ABC in DFW. It was scheduled to be re-run on PBS later, but they had a banner running that said tech difficulties and it would be re-run next Sunday morning.

Unfortunately the votes of senators from small states count as much in the Senate as those from large states.

Yes. I had a relative named Herbert. His little brother couldn't pronounce "brother" yet. It came out as "bwuzzo." That changed to "buzzo." Everyone in the family, even his parents, started to call him "Buzz" and that lasted the rest of his life. In school and where he worked and even at his funeral. No one ever called him Herbert.

You are right. I wasn’t trying to give him political advice (and hope he doesn’t take it), just trying to comment on how outmatched he was.

Cruz was the clear winner. If I were to judge it without bias, I would say Beto got in one to two licks against Cruz’s 30 to 40. It was a knockout. Sham looked nervous, his neck veins were bulging, and his body language and speech patterns distracted from his message.
The main reason the leftists think they can take out Cruz is becasue they watched the circular firing squads that took up residence in places like FreeRepublic. Not defending Cruz for acting like a sore loser prick after getting waxed int he debates; just saying that Reubs/Conservatives did more to damage Cruz after the fact than he did during it.
