I looked up the article linked by AMorePerfectUnion and the name of the Army Colonel Mattis picked for Guantanamo’s Chief War Judge as per AMPU’s link is not the one named in the Nukewatch article. Did you mix up names?
Mattis’ pick is Col. Douglas K. Watkins.
I didn’t post the article about Sinclair, but it was pinged to me, so I wondered too, and just posted a link to article with Col. Watkins name in it.

I honestly don’t think if Vet’s Day is Observed on the 12th that it would negate the 11th. The 11th remains Vet’s Day.

I didn’t grok the significance of the date.
