went back to our 9/9/ “Q” thread and Texokie did the leg work on King & Spalding.
Yates went back to King & Spalding as a partner.
It’s now part of swordmaker’s LexiQon.

Oh thanks, stylin19a, for digging up that link to the King and Spalding dig!

Since Yates has come up again in the Q drops, it seemed fitting to find out about the father of her children.

This dig centers on Comer Yates, and then oopses over into an examination of the School of which he is the headmaster. I have sought to break it up into manageable parts, so there are five of them.

Here is the first installment:

“WIVES SERIES”

COMER YATES - HUSBAND TO SALLY YATES

https://heavy.com/news/2017/05/sally-yates-husband-comer-yates/

https://www.earnthenecklace.com/comer-yates-3-facts-to-know-about-former-acting-attorney-general-sally-yates-husband/

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta_Speech_School

COMER YATES is the husband of Sally Yates, former Acting US Attorney General, now partner at Atlanta law firm King & Spalding.

[SEE previous thread outlining background on K&S:

http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3686260/posts?page=1686#1686 ]

Comer Yates went to Emory University, and was a high school teacher for about 20 years. He earned his law degree, and then taught as an adjunct faculty member at the school of law. He was granted the 11Alive Community Service Award.

He ran for office twice. He lost twice, once in 1994, to Republican Rep. John Linder, then again in 1996 to Democrat Cynthia McKinney.

Since 1998, Comer has been the Executive Director of Atlanta Speech School. The school offers children — and adults — in the Atlanta area with speech, language and learning disabilities an opportunity to acquire and grow their language and literacy skills. According to the Wikipedia page on it:

“Established in 1938, the Atlanta Speech School is a brain research-backed comprehensive language and literacy school providing educational as well as clinical programs…”

The main thrust of the institution is for the engendering of literacy, speech, and communication, especially among deaf and impaired people.

From the Atlanta School wiki page, “All programs of the Atlanta Speech School focus on the construction of the reading brain, and freeing potential through literacy.

It is noted in more than one source about him that he donated “more than $3,300 to Obama’s Presidential Campaigns.

Sally and Comer have two college aged children, a daughter named Kelley and a son named Quill.

I found no strongly red flags, but a couple of pale pink ones because of the brain research conducted by the school. However, such research in many facilities is of tremendous value to many impaired children and their families, so on the basis of that, Comer appears to be an upright citizen, albeit a flaming liberal. Intense interest in education by Liberals is also something to consider as earning at least a pale pink flag.

COMER YATES - HUSBAND TO SALLY YATES

PART TWO

ATLANTA SPEECH SCHOOL

So, what is behind the Atlanta Speech School?

I found a list of the Board of Directors.

https://www.atlantaspeechschool.org/board-of-directors

I was unfamiliar with the over 40 names listed. No doubt they are the creme de la creme of Atlanta Society, and perhaps FReeQs from the area may have better insight into who some of them are. I decided to just look at the officers.

ATLANTA SCHOOL CHAIRMAN, BILLY LEVINE
https://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/potmsearch/detail/submission/5239332/Billy_Levine

“He is the Senior managing director of the Atlanta East Team at SunTrust Private Wealth Management. He went to the University of Chicago.”

Well, we might have expected that; a money guy is the leader. That certainly would be appropriate. Interesting that he went to U of Chicago.

Is that a pink flag? In my mind, a pink flag, even a pale pink one indicates that there is nothing proven inspiring alarm, but simply the noticing of possible questions which could be followed to rule them out. The more intense the pink, trending toward red, the more questions there are the more suggestive the answers seem to be. Red is bona fide alarming connection, which would also require further research to enlarge upon it.

ATLANTA SCHOOL VICE CHAIRMAN, NANCY BRUMLEY ROBITAILLE
https://www.zeistfoundation.org/team-bios/nancy-brumley-robitaille/

SHE IS ALSO Co-President of the Zeist Foundation:
“Nancy is the twin daughter of Jean and George Brumley and she is married to Dan Robitaille. Together they are raising three boys – Paul, Harrison and Alex.

She received her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from Vanderbilt University and completed her Masters in Educational Leadership at the University of Georgia…”

It makes sense for an educational institution such as the Atlanta School to have people with a background in education, it would seem. She does seem to really love education and children, - especially those at the Atlanta School, for that is what the Zeist page says is where she is volunteering.

The history page of the Zeist Foundation is interesting. It seems that Nancy’s father was a pediatrician, and her mother was a nurse. He had been at Duke University Medical Center. The year they decided to take a sabbatical was spent in Zeist, the Netherlands. The family had such a wonderful time there, they decided to name their family foundation “Zeist.”

Eventually they moved to Atlanta and became involved in philanthropies there. Among them were the Atlanta symphony, Trinity Presbyterian Church, and Duke University.

The Zeist Foundation notes on its website on its Areas of Focus page, that they
seek to support signature projects that align with its holistic approach to serving children, youth and families, such as the URBAN HEALTH INITIATIVE launched by Emory University School of Medicine.

http://med.emory.edu/pa/about_us/mission-values.html

“The Urban Health Initiative is an Emory-sponsored interprofessional collaboration of professionals from across the University’s academic, medical, and public health programs who work together to help underserved communities across urban Atlanta to eliminate health disparities and achieve equity in health and well-being.”

Done correctly, that would be a good thing. However, my suspicious ears hear at least a tinge of Liberal-speak gobbledygook. Pale pink flag.

From the Zeist bio about Nancy:
“In 2003, while traveling in Kenya, twelve members of the Brumley family, including Dr. and Mrs. Brumley, died in a plane accident. In the wake of this enormous tragedy, the surviving Brumley children (Nancy and Marie) made the difficult yet understandable decision to temporarily suspend Zeist Foundation activities.”

That is, of course, a horrible loss to endure. I am genuinely sorry for the loss of Nancy and her sister of their family. That being said, in recent days, I have found myself disliking the direction my thoughts take when people are “do-gooding” in Africa, or other third world areas, as it may not be as it seems. But I truly hope and pray that it IS as it seems, and that these are genuinely service minded people.

Pink Flag on the school here because of the Vice Chair’s connections with African travels, pediatrician father, and intense involvement in education and promotion of possibly very liberal health care programs.

KATHRYN B. MILLER - SECRETARY
I did not find a KBM in Atlanta other than the previously cited Board of Directors page. For whatever reason, she does not seem to be a prominent online presence for such a high profile position. Genuinely low profile? Or wiped? I have no way of knowing, but without other data, all I have is a question. Who is she, and what does she bring to the Atlanta School table? Very pale pink flag.

ATLANTA SCHOOL TREASURER, WILLIAM H. LINGINFELTER
As one might expect, the Atlanta School has a money guy in this position.

http://gra.org/staff/33/William_Linginfelter.html

William H. Linginfelter, Area President of Georgia Regions Bank at Regions Financial Corp. since June 23, 2008.

“…Linginfelter is on the Executive Board of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, which he chaired in 2010. He is on the boards of Buckhead Coalition, The Commerce Club, Piedmont HealthCare and The Foundation for Public Broadcasting in Georgia. He also holds leadership roles with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the Woodruff Arts Center and the Atlanta Speech School….”

Mr. Linginfelter is plugged into the Foundation for Public Broadcasting in Georgia. OK. That’s good. A large educational institution which has medical conditions also as part of its mission would need to have some kind of good Big Communications connections.

This part of the exam leaves us with a few pink flags with several gently begging questions.

COMER YATES - HUSBAND TO SALLY YATES
PART THREE

BUT WHO REALLY BANKROLLS THE ATLANTA SCHOOL?

https://www.atlantaspeechschool.org/RelId/606413/ISvars/default/About_Us.htm

From the “About Us” page at the School website, it explains a little about their various programs.

“…Composed of four schools, five clinics, summer programs and a professional development center, each division shares one common mission: to work within each program and collaborate across all programs to help each person develop his or her full potential through language and literacy. Each day, extraordinarily dedicated and talented individuals make profound differences in the lives of the children and adults they serve, helping them discover their voice, and the power of that voice, for a lifetime. As a core part of its mission, the School has never denied access to a child in need of its services as a result of a family’s socioeconomic circumstances….”

There are school programs, clinical programs, summer programs, and the Professional Development Center which is for the purpose of outreach and teacher training. In the discussion about the Professional Development Center, the funding, at least in part is revealed:

“The Rollins Center’s Cox Campus portal make their research-based training available to all teachers at no charge, thanks to generous funding from the James M. Cox Foundation….”

In Part Two, we noted that an educational/medical institution such as the Atlanta School, would ideally need to have a Big Communication connection. Can we find too many of those media outfits that are larger than the Cox Media Group and its Foundation? It is one of the biggest.

COMER YATES - HUSBAND TO SALLY YATES

PART FOUR

JAMES M. COX FOUNDATION

In Part Three we learned that one of the major funders, at least for the Professional Development Center, (which I am thinking is like “Outreach” as to their efforts to spread their knowledge and techniques with people in the teaching and health care professions,) is the James M. Cox Foundation. Well, who is James M. Cox? He was quite an interesting character, it turns out.

https://www.coxenterprises.com/about-us/history

James M. Cox was born in 1870 and lived until 1957. He was a newspaper guy, and interested in politics. He was the Governor of Ohio. The Democrat Party put him forward as their nominee in 1920. His VP running mate was a young man named Franklin Delano Roosevelt. After losing, FDR continued with his political ambitions, and Cox doubled down on his newspaper interests.

He built an empire which included the Atlanta Journal and a big radio station among his many assets.

Bottom line: JMCox Jr took over his father’s Cox business empire, and nurtured it until it eventually grew into the much-beloved-by-all Cox Cable network - CoxMediaGroup. They have in addition to the media group, a few other subsidiaries.

In 1988, James M. Cox’s grandson, Jim Kennedy, took over the reins.
Yeah. They’ve got a lotta money, so they made a Foundation.

NANCY RIGBY IS THE PRESIDENT OF THE JAMES M. COX FOUNDATION.

https://www.insidephilanthropy.com/insider-guide-to-program-offic/nancy-rigby-james-m-cox-foundation

“FOCUS AREAS: Conservation and environment, early childhood education, empowering families and individuals for success, health

PROFILE: Nancy Rigby is the president of the James M. Cox Foundation and previously served as the vice president. Rigby reports to Jim Kennedy, the chairman of Cox Enterprises. She has been in her current role since February 2017 and with the foundation since February 2012.

Before that, she was the vice president of Coxe Curry & Associations for over 22 years. This was an Atlanta-based consulting firm where she counseled non-profit organizations on fundraising, leadership, and organizational sustainability….”

“….She oversees the business management and administration of foundation operations. UNDER HER LEADERSHIP, THE JAMES M. COX FOUNDATION HAS CONTRIBUTED MORE THAN $75 MILLION IN ATLANTA ALONE. THE GRANTS ARE EXPANDING ACCESS TO TRAILS, PARKS AND GREENSPACE, AS WELL AS PROVIDING HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATIONS WITH FUNDING TO REINVENT PATIENT EXPERIENCES. COX’S INVOLVEMENT IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION IS HELPING NARROW THE 30-MILLION-WORD GAP AND PREPARING CHILDREN FOR SUCCESS, WHICH ULTIMATELY LEADS TO BETTER COMMUNITIES AND ECONOMIES….”

I have no idea what “reinventing patient experiences” might mean to the Cox Foundation - and to the Atlanta School. Is this code for ObamaCare? Pink flag.

The reference to the “trails, parks, and GREENSPACE” is invocative of the verbiage located in the Agenda 21 and UN globalists’ papers about the herding all of us lesser creatures into the big cities and away from the rural areas. Her web page insists that the grants are to improve access... but she really doesn’t say for whom would the access be encouraged. People on the ground in Atlanta and Georgia could say whether that access is being granted to all and sundry as they imply. Also, while we are thinking of Agenda 21, remember that not far from Atlanta is a little thing called “The Georgia Guidestones,” Hot pink flag.

[It sounds familiar, but am somewhat unsure what the “30-million-word gap” means.

*Out of curiosity, texokie digs a small little side tunnel here:*

https://www.bundoo.com/articles/what-is-the-30-million-word-gap/

“The “30 million word gap” refers to a research study conducted by psychologists Betty Hart and Todd Risley. Their study showed that children from lower-income families hear a staggering 30 million fewer words than children from higher-income families by the time they are 4 years old.”

Ok - I’ve heard of this, and it seems to make sense. Unless someone can show me some dastardly nonsense about the 30 million word research study, I am not calling a pink or any colored flag on this part at all. There IS a need to stimulate the brains of the little ones in early childhood by immersing them in language. ]

As noted previously, with the James M. Cox Foundation funding of the professional development program, there are also some serious Big Communications connections made here between Cox and the Atlanta School.

Condition flag for the School may be bleeding from pale into a more definite shade of pink.

COMER YATES - HUSBAND TO SALLY YATES
PART FIVE

DOES ANNENBERG FOUNDATION INTERSECT ANY PART OF THE LEADERSHIP OR FUNDING OF ATLANTA SCHOOL?

Because of Comer’s interest in education, that brought to mind the goals of the left from the time of the 1960s to invade and teach radical anti-American concepts to our children, and to make the whole education system bend to that mind set and approach. I idly wondered if there were any intersects between Comer and Bill Ayers.

I did not find any direct connections, but reminded myself that Ayers is associated with the Annenberg Foundation in Chicago.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago_Annenberg_Challenge

Annenberg has as its Executive Director, Cinny Kennard.

https://www.annenberg.org/who-we-are/people/

“…Prior to joining the Annenberg Foundation in January 2015, Cinny was the Senior Vice President in charge of Programming at the Smithsonian Institution. In that role, she created partnerships with the Smithsonian involving national and international partners for special educational and media initiatives; managed the programming relationships in the joint venture between the Smithsonian and Showtime/CBS known as the Smithsonian Networks; and brought President Obama for a first-ever interview on Smithsonian Channel. Before Smithsonian, Cinny was the first Managing Director of National Public Radio’s West Coast Production Center – NPR West – in Culver City, with executive responsibility for operational and editorial oversight….”

Hmmmmmm. I’ve been aware for some time that the Smithsonian was a bastion of Liberal Think, but it really has enlarged into the Big Media areas, with of course the Smithsonian Channel.

What caught my attention was the reference to Cinny as the FIRST MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO’S WEST COAST PRODUCTION CENTER - NPR WEST.

Didn’t we see an NPR intersect with someone on the Atlanta School’s Board of Directors?

Oh my goodness gracious! Lookie there in Part Two. I do believe we did! Atlanta School’s TREASURER, William Linginfelter has connections deep into NPR:

http://gra.org/staff/33/William_Linginfelter.html

William H. Linginfelter, Area President of Georgia Regions Bank at Regions Financial Corp. since June 23, 2008.

“…Linginfelter is on the Executive Board of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, which he chaired in 2010. He is on the boards of Buckhead Coalition, The Commerce Club, Piedmont HealthCare and THE FOUNDATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING IN GEORGIA….”

I did not find a direct intersect between Linginfelter and Cinny Kennard - nor between Annenberg and Atlanta School. However, during my reading on the Wiki page for NPR, I learned that NPR INDEED HAS A HISTORY OF BEING FUNDED BY THE OPEN SOCIETY INSTITUTE. (FReeQs, FReepers, and devoted Q Lurks know that this is a George Soros organization. In addition, the NPR has a history of being funded by the KROC Foundation. *McDonalds*)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NPR

“2010s
In October 2010, NPR accepted a $1.8 million grant from the Open Society Institute. The grant is meant to begin a project called Impact of Government that was intended to add at least 100 journalists at NPR member radio stations in all 50 states by 2013. The OSI has made previous donations, but does not take on air credit for its gifts….”

“OSI…DOES NOT TAKE ON AIR CREDIT FOR ITS GIFTS…”
Proof, if any was needed, of the deceptive practices of the OSI.

“...add at least 100 journalists at NPR member radio stations in all 50 states by 2013...”
Last I looked, Georgia is one of the 50 states (or if you are Obama, “57”) that Soros through NPR wants to affect. And Linginfelter is a mover/shaker for Georgia NPR Foundation. Hmmmmm. True pink flag.

The Chairman of the Board of Atlanta School, Bill Levine, went to the University of Chicago. Annenberg is in Chicago. It is POSSIBLE that there are intersects there, but I was unable to find them.

I continued searching for direct ties between the Georgia NPR organization and the NPR WEST, or between Cinny Kennard and Lingenfelter, but came up empty.

What we seem to be left with is a school, which is very likely (we fervently hope) doing some actual good, and at worst, is funded (or led) by some questionable sources or people with questionable motives. We can imagine worse, but the evidence at the moment does not support it.

There is no direct evidence of wrong doing by our man Comer Yates - or even the Atlanta School and its Board itself, upon the evidence of just this very light dig into it. The school does have connections and intersects with some very liberal Foundations and individuals, but no strong evidence of blatant abuses of what we would want such a school to be doing.

This school has funding or intersections/connections to two major Big Media concerns: NPR and Cox Foundation (Cox Cable/Media Group.)

The NPR has a history of being funded by Soros, although not acknowledged on the air.

The Cox founder, James M Cox, was a VERY prominent Democrat, having been Governor (not of Georgia) and he ran for President with FDR as his VP running mate.

The likelihood is that the Cox family and its concerns remain with or at least in the orbit of the Liberal / Globalist network. With such connected people on the Board of directors of the School, providing those intersections and connections, the number of questions and areas of concern have increased quite a bit. But all we do have are questions.

Nevertheless, people who wish to dig deeper may well, in fact, find better and stronger ties between the NPR/ Annenberg intersect and the Atlanta School or its people than I have been able to do…or other connections which may exist. Remember, I did not dig into all 40 odd of its listed Board Members. And they have an equally abundant list of Advisors.

Because of the number of questions as well as some of the intersections we have found in our overall examination, if we are to assess the color of the alarm condition of this Atlanta School being run by Comer Yates, the flag has moved from a pale pink to a beautiful rose pink.

These are suggestions only of alarm at this stage of investigation that there may be some miscreants misbehaving wrt the Atlanta School. At this stage, Comer appears to be a nice gentle non-alpha male devoting his life to “The Chuldrun.”

So, in this series of “WIVES” (or in this case, “Hubbies,”) while appearances can be deceiving, we seem to see strong liberal biases and connections we have come to expect in many of the spouses of the Players Q has admonished us to “follow.” However, we do not see the outright obvious in your face misbehavior of a Lisa Barsoomian or an Iris Weinshall.

END PART FIVE
