Mark also wrote a great book (well all his books are great) called The Liberty Amendments. It outlines the amendment proposals the states could pass I believe it’s 37 states needed. Even if they just do a balanced budget amendment and term limits, that would be huge. It is all done through the states not Congress - it is NOT a constitutional convention.
34 states. So far 12 have applied for a convention to redress the balance of power between the federal government and state governments.
I am in favor of amendment process rather than ConCon. I am afraid that the puppet masters would get control and the Bill of Rights would go out the window. I just wouldn’t trust anyone that I know of in a ConCon situational.
In fact even amendments need to be very thoughtfully and carefully considered. For example the 17th was a bad move - tipped too much power to Feds and made Senate into just another House of Reps with a longer term.
I only recall levin being anti trump.
I know there must have been a moment when he changed.
