Based on my two Irish Wolfhounds (long gone and regretted), he’d probably just ask if the cougar wants to play. Which might be enough to send off any large cat, admittedly. (Oh, mommy, look at the pony!)
Perhaps some Schnausers? The full sized ones, not the minatures?
