Nothing about any of this feels right.

This smells like a possible clever deep state trap.

We are depending on the "word" of Murkowski to vote "Present!", and both Flake and Manchin to vote "Aye!". Then we took one of our solid "Aye!" votes off the board so he could attend a wedding.

What could possibly go wrong with that plan? Have we left our King unnecessarily exposed on the "word" of the weakest links in the Senate?

Hopefully, this won't be the most disastrous wedding party in history. It ain't over 'til it's over.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standing_Rules_of_the_United_States_Senate

Senators who miss the roll call may still cast a vote as long as the recorded vote remains open. The vote is closed at the discretion of the presiding officer, but must remain open for a minimum of 15 minutes. If the vote is tied, the Vice President, if present, is entitled to a casting vote.

Murkowski is voting present to offset Daines not being there.

It only works if they are from different parties.

Funny stuff!

How many cats are home alone? I ask: how many Subarus were used to haul all the feminists to the protest?

Me too. I hope that they have a high-speed contingency plan to get him there if needed. No trust for Murky nor Manchin.

He has in no way gained control of the levers of power at DoJustUs.

Greg Gianforte, U.S.house rep, Montana has offered his private jet for Steve Daines if his vote is needed.

Daines has vowed to come back if he is needed.

"Reasons other than issues of declassification may exist for the withholding of those three rather significant transcripts."

Well Shirley, that's certainly an extremely strong argument.

Sounds like a religious doctrine difference here.
