I’m beginning to think that “the flake” is waiting for the appropriate moment. He may have presidential aspirations, but it may be as a demoncrat.
“The flake” may be waiting for the upcoming destruction of the current demoncrat party, just before midterms, and then jump in to resurrect a ‘new’ demoncrat party, with him as it’s new “fearless leader.” (Thanks go out to Boris and Natasha)
The problem for him will be that people will recognize this attempt. It will be akin to what the band “The Who” said, “Meet the old boss, same as the new boss.” - Crazier things have happened.
I believe the GOP will gain both house and senate seats in the midterms.
I also believe that we will some defections to the GOP from the dem party over these last shenanigans. That someone like flake might defect would also not be a surprise.
