Early in the WWII Pacific theater, my late father-in-law led 10 B26's island hopping from Hawaii to Northern Australia. Once there he led the first bombing mission against Rabaul in the Coral Sea, was shot down, ditching at sea and rescued by local natives.

They were later picked up by a Australia Catalina flying boat.

His crew chief was lost in the ditching.

This morning while packing to move we found his US Army Air Corp issued bible.

Following is what is printed in the forward.

To the Members of the Army:

As Commander-in-chief I take pleasure in commending the reading of the Bible to all who serve in the armed forces of the United States. Throughout the centuries men of many faiths and diverse origins have found in the Sacred Book words of wisdom, counsel and inspiration. It is a fountain of strength and now, as always, an aid in attaining the highest aspirations of the human soul.

The left took away our cohesiveness for a reason. We are weaker and more divided for it. We were a country united in religion, in love of country and its heroes, in devotion to family, and in love of our peculiar culture—baseball, boxing, music, dance, songs, language, poems, clothing, behaviors, norms of civility. All torn down to bring down the only force in the world that can prevent a globalist socialist new world order.
