One Day

One day, we’ll all be happy,
One day, we’ll be content,
One day, we’ll be aware of,
Exactly what God meant.

He told us we should love ourselves,
Just as we love our brother,
A purpose for life’s bounty,
To share with one another.

One day we may accept that,
Begin to understand,
One day to spread the love of God,
In peace throughout the land.

One day to find contentment,
A day to feel so blessed,
We’ll choose to be His servant,
And also be His guest.

Say, Now!

A new first day! Let’s start it right!
Gee, the daylight’s awfully bright.
Maybe I partied some last night,
It’s in the past. Forget it!

Rise and greet the morning sun,
Lot’s of work still to be done.
Nobody said Life would be fun,
But if it is, we’ll let it!

With exuberance we’ll note,
Cheerful living gets my vote,
“A prayer of thanks to Him devote?”
That’s the way! You said it!

Someone lead us in a prayer,
If you’ve got a friend up there,
My example’s not too fair,
Not the way I’ve led it!

Alright, if you still insist,
No sense trying to resist,
I may get points for being missed,
I hope we won’t regret it!

Lord, we humbly bow our head,
And ask again for daily bread,
Let the words be clearly said,
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
