I think that is one of the reasons I can't bring myself to get another pet. It is going on 3 yrs now since I have not had a pet, but I just can't bear the thoughts of going through that kind of loss again.
That is the very same reason we don’t have any either.
I miss not having a dog but our last had cancer and hubby said no more.
I told him when he dies I’m getting a Jack Russel and naming it after him.
Thanks. I’m thankful he was with me for as long as he was. My other pets I’ve had passed at a younger age from injury or illness.
